Out with the old; in with the new

While most of our New Year’s resolutions remain unfulfilled, there is still something so hopeful in turning a new page.

Another year has pass by and I feel like it went by so fast. For me it was a good one, even tho I’m never completely satisfied and always feel like I could have done more. Still, instead of paying all the attention to small negative things, I decided to be grateful for all the good that has happened to me in 2016. The other things that need some improvement will end up on my resolutions list.

Like I said, while we wait for the new year to come, my plan is to count my blessings and cherish all the good memories that were made. All of my loved ones are healthy, I spent some great times with them in the past 365 days, and we are all here and having another year ahead of us to make it amazing. Still, the calendar switching from one year to another is a great opportunity to look back and reflect. It is also a great opportunity to turn a new page, make some changes and think about what it is that we really want.

We probably shouldn’t do that just once per year, but it still feels like a prefect time to make some new promises to ourselves, set some new goals and dare to try. Take a pen and some paper and have a look back. How was your year? What would you like to improve? Write it down and put it somewhere where you can see it, so that it reminds you on daily basis what it is that you want. For me it’s simple. I want to laugh more, live more, dare more, explore the world, make new friends, see the old one more, be a better person and share more love. And I really hope that by this time next year I’ll be able to say that I did it.

What is on your new year’s resolutions list?
