As you may know by now from Facebook (if you are not following us, you better do it now! ), we’ve been invited to attend some shows at Milan Fashion Week. Everything has been so hectic, that we didn’t manage to update you all the time (though we did a bit on Facebook, still not following?!), so here we are starting our Milan Fashion Week tales.
The first collection we want to tell you about is the one that is the most fresh in our memory – Cristiano Burani SS 2014, a show held in Palazzo Clerici, a lovely location that sends you to a different era. The story of the next summer trends was told with a mix of leather, silk, denim and satin in white, black and blue. It was talking about a confident women, that knows how to be feminine and elegant without much effort. Again the baseball hats were present but this time they were shouting “I am here, look at me!”.
The comfort is obvious, this woman is independent and powerful, without the need to threat you with her high-sharp heels, she’s wearing flats and she’s proud of it. There were modern silhouettes, laser cut details and subtle Swarovsky crystals, geometry in sporty yet elegant pieces.
All in all we really liked the show. The lights, the location, the music (oh, the music, we were dancing all the time) and of course the collection made a perfect combination. Something borrowed, something blue, someone dancing, something new!
