Frankie Morello’s new collection was inspired by Fulco di Verdura’s jewelry, the Italian aristocrat that began his career when he met Coco Chanel and she decided to make him head designer of Chanel jewelry.
Maurizio Modica and Pierfrancesco Gigliotti made a modern interpretation of the opulent jewels, trying to keep a simple and light line.
We saw a story told in white with a splash of red and aqua green from time to time. Transparent fabrics, loose silhouettes, geometric necklines and plexi-glass bags, they had it all. We saw again flats (we cannot be more happy about that, go team flats!), tank tops and loved the layering.
We enjoyed the Frankie Morello show a lot and cannot wait to see the collection taken on the streets.
