She gave modelling a try and gave up after the agency told her that her hips were too big. A year later, with encouragement from her dad, she entered the Elite Model Look competition and made it to the finals. That ensured her a contract with the renowned agency and launched her path into the fashion stardom.

This outdoorsy beauty says that what she enjoys most about modelling is working with different artistic people every day. Coming from her background, she never thought she would end up becoming a model. Her story is a one of an ugly duckling; an awkward boyish looking girl that grew up and transformed into a swan. And this swan has done some amazing modelling jobs! Birgit Kos walked for Chanel, Miu Miu, Fendi, Alexander McQueen and Celine, just to name a few.
