Nordgreen Copenhagen Watch review
I’ve never really been a girly girl and all the sparkle and glam never interested me a lot. But, when it came to jewelry, watches were always my thing. I guess it’s because a watch has a function and it’s not just a pretty thing that you put on yourself for beauty purposes. I remember my dad buying me a Fossil watch as a gift, a beautiful one with leather straps with flowers on them. I still keep it as a memory. Later on, I got a bigger one with silver metal straps that I still wear. And like that my little watch collection grew to become my fave fashion detail combined with dear memories. So when Nordgreen Copenhagen asked me to review one of their gorgeous pieces I was obviously super excited!
I got to choose a watch from their collection and it was honestly not easy to pick one. I loved both male and female watches and their minimalistic aesthetic fits right into my style preferences. Nordgreen Copenhagen is as the name suggests a Danish brand, so they know all about that famous Scandi minimalism. And the watches are designed by Jakob Wagner, an award-winning designer that worked with some amazing brands. Therefore my task of picking one piece was tricky, but after some thinking, I went for the Philosopher model in Rose Gold.
I know, I know, I said I’m not a girly girl and then I went for rose gold! Trust me, I even surprised myself. But I don’t have any other watches in this color, so I wanted to give it a try. It’s gorgeous in the summer and I love wearing it with light colors. I am sure it will also be great to brighten up my winter looks when I go a bit darker with my color palette. The watch is super light and I barely feel it on my arm. You can choose between sizes 36 and 40. I went for the bigger one (I love bigger watches) and I love the slightly masculine bigger dial in contrast with the pink color. Mixing contrasting elements is always great if you ask me.
Besides having beautiful quality watches Nordgreen Copenhagen is also invested in Danish values of social responsibility and sustainability. Through their giving back program they partnered with 3 NGOs that cover health, education, and the environment. Their packaging is eco-friendly and they offset their carbon emissions. Nordgeen also practices reasonable manufacturing, having their production in a Danish-owned watch factory in China. The facility has excellent working conditions based on Danish labor practices.
So with great products and even better values, Nordgreen Copenhagen is a brand for modern watch lovers and if you are in the market for a new watch I warmly recommend checking their stylish pieces out.
Special thanks to Ivan Radovic for these gorgeous photos and to Nikki for being our furry model. 🙂
