Milan Crazy Fashion Week

  • Doina Tatu
  • 28 September 2013

Fashion Week is always a crazy time, you have to run from one show to the other, try to remember everything you saw, interact with the others, smile and be pleasant when all you can think about is that you want to eat (a hamburger from Tizzy’s, but shh, don’t tell anyone, it was FW so we were officially eating air) and slack a bit more in the bed (or is it just me?). And then you have the parties that you love and you forget about the swollen feet and you just want to dance till the morning, but there’s that little buzz in your head telling you “you need to wake up next morning and look fresh”. Fashion Week is not crazy only for the people that attend the shows, it’s crazy even for those that just live in the city trying to get to their offices in all that crowd.

Milan Fashion WeekBut you love that time and you enjoy it and remember it with a smile on your face. Our time in Milan for Fashion Week was hectic, but lovely nevertheless. We enjoyed everything! We liked a lot the shows like Angelos Bratis, Frankie Morello, Cristiano Burani, the presentations like Alberto Zambelli’s which was held in the garden of Hotel Diana Majestic and we must say it fitted perfectly, the collection was really good and

the models beautiful, Fatima Val’s and many others, the parties (if you are in Milan, you need to go to a party at Punks wear Prada, they are the BOMB) and the exhibition about Anna Piaggi. And we were really happy we man

aged to meet with some old friends and to see for a bit Stefano Guerrini (we swear, we don’t know how he does it, he is always on a run and manages to do a lot of things and when you see him he has his smile on like everything is easy-breezy).

From Milan Fashion Week we learnt that for the next Summer we have to prepare light colored clothes, flats and maybe a baseball hat (we are still thinking about that). There will be silver and maybe a little hint of color from time to time, but white is all the range. Go for the mix of fabrics – something light with heavy and subtle accessories. Buy a plexi-glass bag and rock it! And keep a clean make-up with a simple hair-do.
