5 cartoons every adult must see

  • Ivona Josipovic

When we are kids cartoons are our all time favourite thing to watch. Somewhere along the way into adulthood, some of us loose the touch with their inner child. Cartoons aren’t cool anymore, there are more serious movies to watch. That’s all fine, movies are great, but cartoons should not be scratched off your to-watch-list just because you’ve grown up. So, prepare some popcorn and log in to Netflix because we bring you five animated movies that every adult must watch.

Big Hero 6 is a story about an unusual hero and an unusual friendship. It is also a fun story about “geeks” saving the world. It is refreshing (and not to mention more realistic) seeing smart high-tech brainiacs being the ones that save the day. Let’s face it – the image of the super muscular ultra strong superhero might be a bit outdated.

Megamind

This animated movie is in a way very psychologycal. It shows how early years of our lives can shape us, but how it can all be turned around later on. Let’s just say that Megamind is the villain you’ll just love. Also, this movie is adorned by both men and women, so it’s great for a couple’s movie night.

Inside-Out

The newest movie on this list is Inside Out. It introduces us to emotions as the main characters are Joy, Sadness, Fear, Anger and Disgust. These fellas are living in a complicated world of a little girl’s mind. As we have all experienced situations that stress us out and make us an emotional mess, this cute story puts it all into a new perspective and makes you want to laugh and cry.

Wreck-it Ralph makes you cheer for the underdog, sympathise with the rejects and enjoy their victory as if it was your own. This is a movie that adults will understand and appreciate and maybe even relate to in some way. So jump into the world of video games and see where this adventure takes you.

The Lego Movie is totally made for adults. The jokes, the characters and did I mention the jokes – it’s all written and made for grown ups. With that being said, what are you waiting for, I know you really want to watch it.

Great choices…..I must admit that I have seen them all. I will say it’s because I am a mom. In all honesty I was more excited to see them than the kids. ☺
