5 best hostels in Europe

  • Doina Tatu
  • 15 October 2015

Our love for traveling should be no mystery for anyone by now. We love the whole process, starting with choosing a destination, a perfect time, traveling ways and the best accommodation.

To really enjoy a new city, you need to have a pleasant place to stay.  And when that pleasant place is affordable too… ding-ding-ding we have a winner!

After a deep search on the amazing place called Internet, we have chosen for you 5 best hostels in Europe. Our choice was determined by the design and well the city it’s in (and if we visited it or not).

1.First stop – London, UK

When in London, check in at Palmers Lodge – Swiss Cottage. This amazing, affordable place near the heart of London, will enrich your holiday and make your stay more pleasant. And the rooms and design are just dreamy.

2. Madrid, Spain

If you are planning a trip to Madrid, then check out U Hostel. Why should you choose it? Well, just the fact that it is located in an impressive 19th Century palace is making us consider it big time. Other reasons could be high quality at reasonable prices. But we leave you to check it out for yourself here.

3. Porto, Portugal

Recently, some friends of mine went in a short trip to Porto and they felt in love with it. After describing it to me they made me curios and wanting to visit it badly. Now I’ve also found a place to stay. I am talking about the beautiful Gallery Hostel.

4. Amsterdam, Netherlands

Well, Amsterdam has no need of presentation. The name of the place we chose here is Flying Pig Downtown. If that’s not enough, we’ll jus add that it won this year’s Hoscar title as the 2nd Best Large Hostel Chain.

5. Lisbon, Portugal

For Lisbon, a city that we so want to visit, we stopped at Stay Inn Lisbon Hostel. Let’s just say it looks very much like we would like our home to look like. And after reading some TripAdvisor Reviews, it won us big time!

I love to travel & I think hostels are one of the best ways to save money when you’re abroad. Great spotlight. The one in Madrid looks beautiful. :]
