Rich McCor Paper Art

  • Ivona Josipovic
  • 10 November 2015

Even something so simple as paper cutout can be turned into art in the hands of someone creative. That is exactly what Rich McCor does, inhaling life to paper pieces by mixing them up with some of the most famous places. He modifies landmarks like museums, fountains, monuments by bringing them to life with his help. By perfectly placing his often funny, charming and clever cutouts, Rich creates interaction between them and the location. The results are, of course, captured by camera for all of us to enjoy.

You already know that we like people getting creative and making cool things with just paper (like this, to this!) so it is no wonder we love what Rich does. Not to mention his Instagram is one of the cutest and funniest profiles we ever saw and recommend to everyone to check out. We all like to share our traveling photos, but he adds such a creative twist to it. It all started earlier this year and Rich says he hopes to turn this hobby into a career. His favourite quirky optical illusion he created is the champagne bottle that looks like it’s being popped. He took about 50 photos before finally getting the perfect one. Rich is based in London so most of his pieces are from there, but I also recognised some from Stockholm and Copenhagen. The next destination he plans to visit is Malta and we can all hope he gets to transform landmarks across the globe with his paper cutouts.
