5 Places you should definitely visit when in Milan

  • Doina Tatu
  • 26 January 2017

Milan is such a beautiful city with many places to visit. We have a special bond with it. For us, Milan is the city where The Smoke Detector was born, but most importantly, the city where our friendship started.

I remember not likingย Milan that much. It was crowded, noisy at times, but mostly – my friends weren’t there. That lasted for one or two months, until I started making new friends and discovered true colors of this city.

Every corner has a hidden gem, you just have to know how to look for it. Milan is a mix of many cultures, very open to foreigners because most of the people here are foreigners who found a home away from home.

We have picked 5 special places in Milan that you definitely have to visit.

10 Corso Como

10 Corso Como will settle your thirst for fashion, art and design. We have already given you all the reasons why you definitely have to visit it. Check it out here!

Tizzy’s NY Bar and Grill

We have told you about our love for Tizzy’s before here (we actually have an interview with Tizzy Beck, the owner), so if you’re in Milan and you want to have a taste of a real American burger, check out Tizzy’s.

Rita&Cocktails

If you want to have fun evening with your friends and drink some exquisite cocktails, head over to Rita’s. They are magicians when it comes to making drinks.

Villa Necchi Campiglio

Via Mozart must be one of my favorite streets in Milan, it has so many amazing buildings, you cannot imagine. Making it even more beautiful is Villa Necchi Campiglio, a real italian gem. Why should one visit it? Because it’s a piece of Lombardy’s history and because just by looking at it you are captured in a magical world. Also,ย they sometimes have beautiful exhibitions.

Santa Marta Restaurant

At the beginning of the winter one of my friends came to visit. She used to live in Milan so she knows many amazing places here. She decided that we MUST have dinner at Santa Marta and we did. Oh how we did! It was definitely the most delicious dinner I have ever had in Milan. The place is so beautiful, exactly how one would imagine an Italian restaurant and the dishes..there are no words. If you want to have a real Italian dinner, you will not go wrong with Santa Marta, I promise!

So here they are, our 5 favorite places in Milan. Let us know if you’ve visited any of these and what are you favorite places here.
