A modern muse and fashion icon, Olivia Palermo is one of fashion’s favourite girls.

When it comes to fashion we have all witnessed the industry change over the last few decades. The internet made it much more accessible and street style photos of bloggers and it-girls made the world go bananas. She made her debut on a TV-show called The City back in 2009. While she first denied being part of the cast, Olivia made her mark on MTV’s show gaining more and more attention with every episode. The City was filmed as a reality show, but Olivia said she joined in order to practice her acting. While it remains unclear how much of the show was scripted, it is sure that Olivia used it as a great platform for launching her name.

She had a real-life Gossip Girl drama in her life. Before gaining worldwide fame Palermo was known in the New York socialite circles. She was involved in some drama with the socialiterank.com website that has since been shut down. To make a long story short they faked a letter in Olivia’s name resulting in her hiring a lawyer. She is signed with Wilhelmina models and despite being 1.68m in height many designers love seeing her in their designs and in their campaigns. Olivia has graced numerous magazine covers and is currently Banana Republic’s first women’s global style ambassador.

She is married to German model Johannes Huebl. The couple tied the know after spending six years together. Olivia said that he charmed her by being a gentleman. She also recently said in an interview that she doesn’t wear her wedding ring, but only her engagement one with a yellow diamond.

She has a dog called Mr Butler and he’s a white Maltese Terrier. She said that Mr Butler grabbed the attention of some of the designers and brands too, but they never got to do a campaign with him. Even Olivia’s dog is a star material.
