3 Fashion Podcasts for true fashion fans

  • Ivona Josipovic
  • 4 July 2019

When you love fashion as much as we at TSD do you live, eat and breath it. In order to satisfy my fashion appetite, I have found some amazing fashion podcasts that are very interesting and educational. The added plus is that I consume my dose of fashion on the go, as new episodes are right there in my pocket with me. Whether you are interested in history, the business or the creative side of the fashion industry, these 3 top picks have something for everyone.

Our 3 top fashion podcasts

Dressed: The history of fashion – Hosted by April Calahan and Cassidy Zachary Dressed is a podcast for those who like to explore deeper. As the authors put it Dressed “explores the incredibly rich and complex history behind the clothes we wear”. Cassidy is a fashion historian and April is a curator at Fashion Institute of Technology. Both ladies are very knowledgable and explore various topics from (fashion) history and how they intertwine with human lives in many unexpected ways. I look forward to each new episode as a kid does to Christmas.

Fashion no filter – Step behind the scenes and enjoy the fashion world together with the hosts Monica de La Villardière and Camille Charriere. These two friends that are fashion journalists/influencers talk about various topics from sustainability to feminism and all without a filter. Their exclusive interviews with who’s who of fashion will make you feel like a fly on the wall. Eavesdrop on some honest chats that would otherwise be kept behind closed doors. The minus about this one is that episodes come out quite irregularly. But hey, they’re so good it’s worth the wait.

The Business of Fashion Podcast – BoF is a big player in fashion and their podcast is as informative and in-depth as their website. It covers various topics, from business strategies to solving pollution problems and everything in between. The host, Imran Amen, interviews amazing guests that range from creatives to CEOs. This podcast is like an open window into the industry that is often very closed off and distant. That’s one of the reasons I love it.
