Surreal Places Around the World

  • Doina Tatu
  • 29 June 2017

There are so many amazing places to visit on our planet that a lifetime isn’t enough. I believe that every corner can hide a gemstone and that you just have to have enough curiosity to find it. We were curious to discover some surreal places around the world and to share them with you.

Traveling is one of our biggest passions here at TSD. We would love to see every square centimeter of this fantastic that planet we live on! Hopefully we’ll have the chance to see as much of it as possible in this lifetime (and obviously share it with you). Till then, we want to let you know about 5 of the most surreal places that we want to visit.

Grand Prismatic Spring, Yellowstone National Park, USA

The Grand Prismatic Spring gets its unique colors from pigmented bacteria that grows around the mineral waters. It’s like a rainbow colored show, definitely a must see.

Hidden Beach, Marieta Islands, Mexico

The Hidden beach of Marita Island was born after the Mexican government used it for military training. All the bombing lead to this fantastic hidden beach.

Marble Caves, General Carrera Lake, Chile – Argentina

Who didn’t love marbles as a kid?! This glacier lake is host to one of your childhood dreams – all marble everything!

Fingal’s Cave, Island of Staffa, Scotland

Back to our beloved continent, Europe, Fingal’s cave has inspired artists from all around the world, from Jules Verne to Pink Floyd. The cave is formed by basal columns within a Paleocene lava flow. Definitely another must see on our list!

Kelimutu crater lakes in Flores Island, Indonesia

These colored lakes can leave even the most difficult to impress people to feel speechless. Their colors go from blue to green, and sometimes even from red to dark brown. It’s definitely a colourful surreal show nature puts on there.

Do let us know in the comments bellow if you got the chance to visit any of these places and how you liked it. Also, what are your favourite amazing places to visit?
